It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all of you to the official website of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Bir Bikrom Cantonment college, Dhaka cantonment. This web site provides with all necessary information including its education, history, tradition, achievements and co curriculum activities of the college. I firmly believe that this website will act as a bridge among the students, teachers and parents.
The college is situated in the northern side of CMH adjacent to Zia Colony and Gen. Mustafiz Shoroni west of Banani mirpur overbridge in a congenial atmosphere with a greenery natural beauty, free from the din and bustle of city life…..
This institution known as `Unit School' was established in 1939 and in 1952 it was acquired by Dhaka Cantonment Board. It was the first educational institution among the cantonments in Bangladesh. When Bangladesh achieved independence in 1971, the institution was renamed after the name of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin who got martyrdom in the Independence War. The institution started its college section with the name of Higher Secondary School in 1998 with a view to imparting higher education among the learners living in the cantonment areas & outside as well. In 2002 the institution was re named as Shaheed Ramiz Uddin College with the permission of Dhaka Education Board. After war it was finally named Shaheed Bir Bikrom Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College. At present the college is being governed under the Directorate of Military Lands and Cantonments Directed by Dhaka Cantonment Board and Station Sead Quarter, Dhaka cantonment Dhaka.
The institution was established with a view to offering the student’s quality education, discipline, morality, humanity and overall creating worthy citizens for the country. SRCC also emphasizes on advanced technology in the educational field and has got immense refreshment in teaching and learning through fixing multimedia class rooms, website, digital messaging system, and digital result system including all payments. I hope that all these facilities will help the students to make them capable to face the challenge of 21st citizen’s century……
The college has a glorious history of achieving successes and rewards in the fields of co-curricular activities in both national and Inter College Competition of the country. In the mean time it has been able to disseminate its identity, it’s name and fame in the electronic and print media upholding its various glorious successes.
